Umrah Lane – Refund Policy

Applies to: All bookings for Hajj, Umrah, and Ziyarah Packages
At Umrah Lane, we prioritize your spiritual journey and understand that travel plans may sometimes change due to unforeseen circumstances. Our refund policy is crafted in line with industry norms, including those followed by international airlines and accommodation providers (3-, 4-, and 5-star hotels) in Makkah and Madinah.
1. General Policy:
Refunds are subject to the terms and conditions set by airlines, hotels, visa authorities, and local transport vendors. Umrah Lane facilitates refunds on behalf of clients in accordance with the refundability of the components booked.
2. Airline Ticket Refunds:
• Airline tickets are subject to the fare rules of the issuing carrier.
• Refund eligibility depends on the class of ticket purchased (Economy Saver, Economy Flex, Business, etc.).
• Non-refundable tickets will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.
• Refundable tickets will be refunded after deduction of airline penalties, taxes, and processing fees.
• Refunds may take 4 to 8 weeks based on airline processing times.
3. Hotel Booking Refunds:
Refunds for hotel reservations in Makkah and Madinah will depend on the cancellation policies of the respective hotels, which generally follow these guidelines:

30+ days before check-in Full refund (minus admin fee)
15–29 days before check-in 50% refund
7–14 days before check-in 25% refund
Less than 7 days Non-refundable
Note: Some 3/4/5-star hotels have stricter no-refund policies during peak Umrah/Hajj seasons. These will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.
4. Visa Rejection or Non-Issuance:
• Refunds will be processed after deduction of visa application fees, government charges, and admin costs.
• Hotel and airline refunds will be processed based on provider policies.
• Supporting documents must be submitted for refund requests.

6. Client-Initiated Cancellations:
If a client chooses to cancel their Umrah/Hajj package:

60+ days 70% refund (excluding non-refundable bookings)
30–59 days 40% refund
15–29 days 20% refund
Less than 15 days Non-refundable
Note: Administrative, processing, and third-party vendor fees will be deducted.
7. Agency-Initiated Changes or Cancellations:
• Clients will receive a full refund or travel credit.
• For partially completed journeys, refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
8. Refund Process:
• All refund requests must be emailed to info@umrahlane.com with booking ID and reason for cancellation.
• Refunds will be credited via original mode of payment within 14–45 business days, depending on third-party vendor timelines.
• No cash refunds are allowed.
9. Force Majeure:
Umrah Lane is not liable for cancellations due to events beyond our control such as:
• Natural disasters
• Health epidemics/pandemics
• Government travel restrictions
• War or civil unrest
• Airline or hotel strikes
In such cases, Umrah Lane will make the best efforts to obtain refunds or offer credits based on vendor terms.
