Thinking about Hajj in 2027? Let's start together
Hajj can feel like a lot to plan, and that is completely normal. We have put the essentials in one place so you know what to do now, what to expect, and how we can help along the way.
- We help set up your account
- We explain the official process
- We help you pick a package
- We support you on the ground
When is Hajj 2027?
Hajj follows the moon, so the exact days can shift by a day or so. Here is what to expect.
These dates are our best estimate. Your final dates will show on the official Hajj website once you are booked.
How booking works, step by step
If you are travelling on a US passport, you book through the official Nusuk Hajj website. Please note that the Nusuk phone app is for Umrah and Rawdah bookings only, not Hajj.
- Get your passport, photo and personal details ready.
- Create your account and apply as soon as the website opens.
- Wait while your details are reviewed.
- Look through the approved packages and choose one.
- Pay through the e-wallet on the official website.
- Get your visa and flight details.
Please know this before you apply
Applying does not guarantee a place, because spots are limited. And if anyone promises you a sure visa, or asks you to pay outside the official website, please be careful. You are always welcome to call us and ask first.
What you can do today
A little preparation now makes the busy weeks later much calmer.
Look at your passport
Check when it expires. If it is close, renew it now, because you need a valid one to apply.
Take care of your health
Talk to your doctor about the vaccines pilgrims currently need, and start walking a little every day.
Check your card limit
Hajj payments are large. Make sure your bank or card will let you add that amount to your e-wallet.
Plan your budget
Think about the flight to your departure city, spending money and small extras, not just the package.
Ask for time off
Most people need two to three weeks, so it helps to talk to your employer early.
Decide who is coming
Going with family or friends? Settle your group now so you can be booked together.
Finding the right camp in Mina
During the main days of Hajj you stay in Mina. Here is a simple way to choose, based on what matters most to you. Camps vary each year, so we will confirm what is available.
I want the shortest walk
Majar Al Kabsh is the closest to the Jamarat, where the stoning ritual takes place. It is smaller and quieter, and goes fast.
I want the best value
Al Muaisim is the biggest camp and usually the cheapest. Expect a longer walk and more people around you.
I want easier travel
Camp 72 is near a Mina train station. Just check that your group has its own helpers there.
I want extra comfort
Kidana Towers have proper rooms instead of tents, which can be a real blessing for seniors and families.
Rooms and hotels, explained simply
Two choices shape your comfort and your price the most: who shares your room, and where you sleep in Makkah.
Who shares your room
- Double: two people. Best for couples, but it costs the most and is not offered everywhere.
- Triple: three people. A good fit for a small family.
- Quad: four people. The cheapest, but you will have less space for suitcases.
- Travelling with loved ones? Let us know early so we can try to keep you together.
Where you stay in Makkah
- Non-shifting: you keep the same hotel the whole time, and your bags stay in your room.
- Shifting: during Hajj you move to a hotel in an area called Aziziyah, and your bags are moved for you.
- Aziziyah only: the lowest price, but too far to walk to the Haram. Ask how you will get there.
- In general, the closer you are to the Haram, the higher the price.
Questions we hear a lot
When can I register?
Saudi authorities announce the dates each year. If you pre-register with us, we will let you know the moment they are announced.
Can you get me a Hajj visa?
Not directly. For US passport holders, the visa is issued through the official website after you pay. What we do is guide you through every step and support you once you arrive.
How much will it cost?
It depends on your hotel, camp, room sharing, trip length and where you fly from. As soon as packages are released, we will share the current options with you.
Can my family and I go together?
Yes. Link your accounts and choose matching packages. Tell us how many of you are travelling and we will help.
I have two passports. Does that change anything?
It might. Some dual citizens have an extra route through their second country. Get in touch and we will help you compare.
We are here to help
Tell us you are interested and our team will get in touch with the next steps. We will be with you from setting up your account to your arrival in Makkah.
